Job Description

Job Summary The Vice President of Finance will play a critical role in shaping the financial strategy and direction of the organization. Although part-time, this executive position is responsible for overseeing all financial operations, including financial planning, cost management, and reporting. Familarity and proficency with Zoho is required. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial acumen and a proven track record in interpreting financial reports, managing inventory, accounts payable and receivable, payment of taxes, ensuring accurate account reconciliation, and preparing financial statements. This role requires strong attention to detail, understanding of the wine business (from procurement to sales), and the ability to collaborate positively with other departments to drive the company's financial success.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the organization's goals.
• Oversee risk management processes to identify potential financial risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Lead financial planning efforts, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.
• Manage cost management initiatives to optimize operational efficiency and profitability.
• Interpret financial reports to provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Lead accounting functions, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
• Oversee inventory management
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to maintain accurate records and timely payments.
• Ensure thorough account reconciliation practices are followed to maintain integrity in financial reporting.
• Collaborate with other departments to support business objectives through sound financial practices.
• Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
• Proven experience in a senior finance role, preferably as a Vice President or similar position.
• Demonstrated expertise in use of Zoho Books.
• Strong knowledge of risk management principles and practices.
• Demonstrated expertise in financial planning and analysis.
• Proficiency in cost management techniques and methodologies.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliation processes.
• Strong analytical skills combined with attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills for presenting financial information clearly to stakeholders at all levels.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $5,000.00 - $6,000.00 per month
