Job Description

Avalon Landscapes, a dynamic and rapidly growing company, is on the lookout for a highly motivated Mechanic’s Assistance to join our dedicated team in Meridian, ID. An apprentice mechanic is a novice mechanic who works under the supervision of an experienced mechanic. Their duties include using power tools and machinery to fix automotive problems, repairing engine and mechanical parts and replacing worn or broken components. Housekeeping and organizing the shop are two of the main responsibilities of this position.

 Duties and responsibilities typically include the following:

• Housekeeping/maintaining cleanliness and organization of shop and ordering parts
• Performing minor diagnostics and troubleshooting
• Reading manuals and following manufacturer-specific checklists
• Assisting with routine maintenance and repairs on various types of equipment 
• Learning to perform basic and more complex repairs under the supervision of a mechanic 
• Observing and learning from senior mechanic to build industry knowledge and skills

Apprentice skills and qualifications

Able to operate machinery and tools. Aptitude for practical, manual work. Able to follow both written and verbal instructions. Good hand/eye coordination. Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Ability to take in feedback. Adaptable and willingness to learn on the job.

Compensation and Benefits:

· Job Type: Full-time, benefits eligible

· Pay:$ 18.00- $22.00 per hour- negotiable if experienced
