Job Description

Basic Job Functions:
The General Manager directs operations through a team of warehouse personnel. The position ensures increasing customer and employee satisfaction levels while improving warehouse efficiency.
Additional Functions
- Provides leadership for employee relations through effective communications, coaching, training, and development
- Provides leadership for problem resolution to facilitate faster improvements and improved working relationships
- Manages material requirements to increase inventory turns and reduce levels on hand.
- Ensures compliance with company standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety, and complete and on-time delivery
- Ensures all employees perform their tasks in a safe manner
- Balances work capacity across the warehouse
- Determines operations headcount needs and ensures compliance with company policies
- Ensures compliance with company needs for capital investments and improvement projects
- Manages compliance with state and federal regulations
- Capable of performing all warehouse positions and being willing to step into different positions as needed
- Completes any additional tasks as directed by Supervisor

Starting Base Salary Range: $90,000-$115,000
Production Bonus
Weekly Base Salary + Weekly Production Bonus Example: weekly Base Salary = $1,730.76 Weekly Production Bonus = 40%. Total Weekly Salary = $2,423.07
Profit-Sharing
10% of Nucor’s pre-tax earnings are contributed to the Profit Sharing Plan annually and distributed to all eligible teammates. A large portion is deposited into your profit-sharing account, and a smaller portion is distributed in cash. Current 6-year average = 19.88% of your eligible earnings. Eligible earnings include regular pay, overtime, and bonus.Benefits

- Bachelor’s degree required with a discipline in Management and or Business. Relevant and sufficient experience, knowledge, and training will be considered equivalent.Preferred Qualifications:
- Five years of management experience
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage in a fast pace environment with cross-functional teams
- General understanding of finance, cost, and accounting principles
- Proven experience driving teammate engagement
- Familiarity with engineering systems
- Experience working in Engineering, Quality, or Materials Management
